For our BHV and VCA courses, mainly in the Maastricht area, we are looking for an experienced freelance trainer / instructor who shares this approach. BHV is the Dutch term for workplace emergency response.

A new company, with room for your ideas

ABI SHEQ is a new business. We are developing our training programmes and looking for trainers who want to contribute their experience and enthusiasm.

This gives you the opportunity to help shape our courses from the start. Do you have an exercise that always works well? A clear way to explain a difficult topic? An idea that gets participants more involved? We would like to hear it.

Together, we create courses that people enjoy attending and that give them knowledge and skills they can use at work.

What will you do?

You deliver BHV and VCA training for our clients. You understand what a group needs and make the course material accessible to participants from different backgrounds.

Depending on your qualifications and the assignment, you will:

Deliver basic and refresher BHV courses.
Deliver VCA Basic and, where it fits your expertise, VOL-VCA.
Lead practical exercises and provide clear, constructive feedback.
Create a safe learning environment where participants feel comfortable practising and asking questions.
Prepare the training and handle evaluation and related administration.
Contribute to the content and teaching methods of our courses.

Who are you?

You enjoy working with groups and know how to get people involved. You combine professional knowledge with attention to participants and a healthy sense of humour. You make learning enjoyable while checking carefully that everyone has mastered the skills.

You also bring:

More than three years of demonstrable experience delivering BHV and VCA training.
Valid instructor qualifications for the BHV components you deliver.
Preferably, valid NIBHV authorisation for the relevant BHV components.
Up-to-date knowledge of VCA course content and examination requirements.
A good command of Dutch; the ability to teach in English or German is an advantage.
Your own transport and availability to work in the Maastricht area.
An independent, reliable and client-focused approach.
